Curling into the fetal position; that instinctual form of protection and comfort that a being derives from its mother’s womb. A symbol of basic desperation and security. Drug addicts suffering from withdrawal often assume this position, seeking a sort of empty solace through a time when there was no hurt. No danger. Bring us back to that time, they plead.
